A Planetarium Ceremony & an Out-of-This-World Celebration

Seth & TJ didn’t just pick a fun venue — they fully embraced it. From custom planet lighting to a robot ring bearer and a planetarium ceremony, their wedding created an immersive experience for guests from start to finish.
Add in dry ice cocktails, ice cream, and a LEGO cake, and you’ve got a celebration that was equal parts creative, joyful, and completely unforgettable.
Portraits Around Pittsburgh (With a Dog Cameo)
Before the ceremony, Seth & TJ started their day with a portrait session exploring some of Pittsburgh’s best photo spots.
One of our stops was Allegheny Commons Park — a beautiful green space near the North Side that offers tree-lined paths and relaxed outdoor backdrops.
And of course, their dogs joined us for photos.
Dog portraits always bring a little extra personality to a wedding gallery, and these two pups were clearly thrilled to be part of the day.
Between the city portraits, the park greenery, and the excitement building for the evening ahead, it was the perfect way to kick off the celebration.
A Planetarium Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony took place inside the Science Center’s planetarium — which is exactly as incredible as it sounds.
Guests were surrounded by stars projected across the domed ceiling while Seth & TJ exchanged vows in one of the most immersive ceremony spaces in Pittsburgh.
And just when you think that couldn’t get more memorable…
A robot delivered the rings.
Yes. A robot ring bearer.
It was the kind of moment that perfectly captured the playful spirit of the entire day.
Custom Planet Lighting That Transformed the Room
One of the most striking design elements of the evening was the incredible planet lighting created by EF Lighting.
They designed custom planet lights specifically for the reception, transforming the room into a glowing, cosmic atmosphere that perfectly matched the Science Center theme.
Seth & TJ didn’t stop at lighting — every part of the celebration leaned into their theme in creative ways.
Guests were greeted with:
A LEGO wedding cake that instantly became a conversation piece
Dry ice cocktails that added a little science experiment to the bar
Ice cream that kept the celebration fun and playful
Every detail worked together to create an experience that felt cohesive, interactive, and full of personality.
It was the kind of wedding where guests were constantly discovering something new.
