When the time finally comes for your senior portraits , don’t get stuck with stiff and unnatural poses. Below are a few poses to put a creative spin on this exciting shoot.

Karen & Mike had a gorgeous day for their wedding. Bright sunflowers livened up the outdoor tent, and a penguin even made an appearance to celebrate the day! 

Their first look was held next to their venue at Allegheny Commons Park. Then we drove down to the North Shore on a vintage bus to take pictures along the North Shore.

Jenn & Brad are the sweetest people you'll ever meet. Their wedding exemplified that, full of adorable rustic decor, bright sunflowers, and plenty of entertainment for guests. They had a field for lawn games, giant Jenga, and even a bonfire at the end of the night (yes, with s'mores!).  

It’s totally normal to have a thousand questions about your engagement session before it happens, you’ve probably never been a part of one before! There’s no need to stress over it—it’s supposed to be a fun and exciting time for you and your fiancé(e). I’ve put together a couple of golden rules to abide by during your shoot. After all the initial excitement of your engagement starts to die down (or, at least, the initial shock has worn off) it’s time to start thinking about engagement photos. These pictures signify the start of the rest of your lives together, so it’s important to consider a few things when picking a location for the shoot.

Tracy & Eddie had a small, intimate ceremony with just close friends and family on the rooftop of Hotel Monaco. To kick off the day I photographed a bit of getting ready, followed by an emotional first look between them. Then we explored the hotel and the city for some great portraits. 

One thing’s for sure when it comes to your wedding day—the moment you see your significant other for the first time, all dressed up for the occasion, is bound to be a memorable one. Some couples are choosing this moment to happen before they walk down the aisle, while others are sticking with the more traditional route and waiting until the ceremony to see each other. There’s no right or wrong choice, but if you’re on the fence, here are a few pros and cons to having one.
