This intimate and beautiful wedding was so fun to capture. There was a threat of rain all day long, and we were actually able to even capture a brief thunderstorm in their portraits. Luckily, the rain cleared in time to have their perfect outdoor ceremony.

These two actually ended up getting married last year in a small, intimate wedding up on the overlook at Mt. Washington due to Covid. Wedding planning during a pandemic makes everything a little more challenging. They were excited to celebrate their vows with all their family and friends this year at the Priory.

Christa and Martin had to have their original wedding plans postponed due to Covid, so they were READY to celebrate this year. It was worth the wait for this beautiful celebration between these two families. We started the day with getting ready at Christa’s parent’s house, which was nice and close to the church. For portraits, the wedding party headed up to Emerald View Park for some skyline views, and wrapped things up at their reception venue, Phipps.

Corissa and Taylor got married at the gorgeous Sacred Heart Church in Shadyside. It has a stunning stained glass window at the back, and a long dramatic aisle that is great for the first look moment. For portraits, we had lots of time and were able to go to a number of different locations, including the Columns in Oakland, as well as Washington’s Landing.

The drive out to the Omni at Bedford Springs is well worth it. The venue is beautiful, and a great spot for a wedding! You certainly don’t have to go anywhere else for portraits - on-site is perfect!

When you look through Cass & Tyler’s wedding photos, you get a sense of how fun the day was. We went on slides (more than once!), and climbed all over a playground. Yes - in a big poofy wedding dress! Their wedding reminds me that weddings should be FUN! How often do you get to take photos with a rotating plastic horse?

Rachna and Ivan had an intimate and joyous ceremony at Phipps. They were able to have all their family join them, and even brought their little pup to join in the photos!

While planning a wedding during Covid has has had many challenges, it has brought some interesting changes in the industry - namely, smaller, more intimate celebrations! I was blessed to have been able to capture this quiet home-based celebration with John and May this summer. The ceremony was held in their front room with just very close friends and family.
