Frick Senior Session | Maya

Maya told me she wanted the historic look of Frick for her portraits, and I was all about it. The Frick is a gorgeous space. I’m a little obsessed with their gardens & tiny greenhouse. We actually were able to go inside the greenhouse on the day of her shoot - which was amazing because it was cooooooold. Escaping the winter weather is always a plus in my book.

We brought in some city vibes too with a stop along the North Shore. Starting early means we generally have the place to ourselves. Something to keep in mind for your own North Shore session!

Mellon Park & The Museum Senior Portraits | Bernie

Bernie absolutely slayed his senior portraits. He models high-fashion currently, so senior portraits were a great opportunity to take photos that focused more on himself and his personal style. I had to keep reminding him that he is allowed (and encouraged!) to smile and laugh during the session. We started out at Mellon Park for a floral give, then headed into Oakland for a quick stop at Phipps and the museum exterior.

I love repeat clients! I got to meet Anjali during her brother’s senior portrait session, and it was so nice to see her again for her portraits. We went to my favorite floral spots in the city, Mellon Park and Phipps. You just can’t beat the florals in the summer time! Talia had a fashion-forward senior portrait session all over the city! We started in Oakland at the columns, then brought in some color with the Highline. Sometimes, you have to have some pictures that highlight what you do. For Caden, that meant heading out to the stadium for some epic football photos focused on his jersey. If you know me, we had to get a smoke bomb in the mix to make things extra dramatic!

Afterwards, we headed down to the North Shore for some classic Pittsburgh senior portraits. Those bridges are timeless!

I always love when a senior decides to dress up for their senior portraits. Trey started out his session in Oakland, where he wore a suit. We walked around the Columns (Mellon Institute), and then headed to Pitt campus for some classic red door photos.

We ended the session down on Pittsburgh’s North Shore for bridge photos and night shots!

When we have access to the Phipps outdoor gardens, I swoon. It is amazing, especially during the summer. Full of blooms and (if we’re lucky) sunlight, it is the perfect background for senior portraits. After we got our fill of flowers, we headed to the North Shore for some city skyline views.

Cori absolutely rocked her senior portraits! We had such gorgeous weather, and it made it all the more fun. We started out the session at Mellon Park, which is timeless for a garden style. Of course we had to pop by Phipps to finish things up. Their entrance florals this year were incredible, definitely one of the best displays they’ve had.
