We ventured out to North Park for Zoya’s senior portraits this past Fall. Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year for photos. The greens are still bright, but there are golden leaves to add some interest.
Looking through these photos, you can’t help but smile. Zoya was always ready for a laugh as we walked around the park.
Ahhh Iceland, my new favorite country. I’ve been there twice in the past few months, and am already dying to go back to explore during the summer. My husband and I went there together first, and you can check out that blog post here.
For this trip, I traveled with another photographer, Kat from Requiem Images. I posted on my instagram that I wanted to go back and photograph a couple, and she instantly said she wanted to come too. And here we are!
Max has a style like no other! He rocked his session and brought a unique flare to his photos. Personally, I think that bringing a skateboard (and smoke bombs) is probably the coolest way to end a senior session.
He also showed me a hidden place in North Park that I had never seen before. The red sand made it look like we were far from Pittsburgh. It was a difficult climb, but well worth it.
James proposed to Anna at the Pittsburgh Zoo! So what better place to have their engagement photos taken?! It did rain throughout most of their shoot, but that just meant that the zoo was empty. Since we had the place to ourselves, we took our time strolling through.
Luckily, there are many spots that we could go indoors and escape the dreary Pittsburgh weather. The aquarium was a favorite.
Iceland Trip | Winter 2018
Jon had some extra PTO days left for 2018, so I started looking at the cheapest flights to see where we could go. Turns out, Iceland round trip tickets were only about $250 - score! You may think we’re crazy for heading to Iceland in winter - actually, I think you’re right, we are pretty crazy (the crazy part is I went back less than a month later) . But seeing the Northern Lights has been on my bucket list for a while, and this was our chance. Spoiler alert - we didn’t see the Northern Lights on this trip.
Dustin & Vicki are an active couple, and they often bike out at North Park and stop for a beer (or two). What better way to capture their relationship than to join them for a drink, then explore the park together. We ended up with an amazing sunset that will be hard to top. As you’ll be able to tell from these photos, they are a blast to hang out with.
